How to set up scheduled card collections?

Created by Shiva S, Modified on Tue, 2 Apr at 2:59 PM by Varshini Ravichandran

Scheduled card collection gives a preview of the overall collections generated, both manually and automatically by sorting them in a queue. With this function, you can track when the next collection is going to be. You are also able to see the status of each collection and make necessary cancellations or temporarily pause their collections.

A summary of differences between Curlec's Auto and Scheduled Collections can be found here.

You need to configure the settings for Scheduled Collections before generating collections. The settings apply to both credit/debit card and mandate collections. A Scheduled Collection batch can be a mixture of both card and Direct Debit collections.

Scheduled Collections run on weekdays only, excluding public holidays. To enable Scheduled Collections, kindly get in touch with Curlec's support team at support@curlec.com.

To set up scheduled collections:

  1. Click on the main menu.

  2. Select “Settings” - “Scheduled Collections”.

  3. Configure settings for each collection frequency tab:

Daily

  • Collections recur daily.

Weekly

  • Set the collection schedule for weekly recurring collections.

Bi-weekly

  • Collections recur once every two weeks.

Monthly

  • Set the collection schedule for monthly recurring collections.

Quarterly

  • Collections recur once every 3 months.

Yearly

        4. Set your Collection Amount based on the following.

  • Default to Maximum Amount Per DD Transaction means the collection amount is the maximum amount per DD transaction agreed when you sign your customers up.

  • Set Specific Amount on DD Transaction For All Collection means the amount that you collect can be set specifically for all mandates in one collection.

  • Based On Collection Amount/ Default Maximum Amount means it is based on the collection amount that was set. You could collect any amount below the maximum.

        5. Set up the payment collection for a specific date:

  • Select a fixed date in the “Schedule Occur on” option, whether you want it to be on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or etc of each month

  • You can also choose to tick on the Enable Collection On Mandates Effective Date box to set it upon the Effective Date of the mandate accordingly.

        6. Click "Save" and refresh the page.
